Man of War, Day Five

The day got off to a rough start. We had a chance to ride to Marsh Harbour with friends and save the ferry cost, but we had to be at their dock by 10:30. Knowing that Tisha was temperamental we started out an hour early and it is a good thing that we did. Tisha just would not go. After a half hour of trying we finally called Jay at Water Ways. Jay is our outboard mechanic, but was not answering. Eventually we got Jay to tow us to his dock and he promised to work on the motor while we were in Marsh Harbour, so we ran across the island and made our boat right at 10:30.

All was well at the vet and we had a nice lunch at Wally's. Wally's is a must stop if you are ever in the Abacos. My favorite is Chicken Souce which is only served at lunch on Saturdays. Today it was Grouper Fingers with Peas & Rice and cole slaw. I have done some SCUBA diving and I have seen plenty of Grouper. I have seen big ones and small ones, but have yet to see one with fingers.

We caught the 2:30 ferry back to Man of War and an appointment with coconut ice cream at Island Treats before going on to Jay's to pick up the boat. It was ready and seems to run OK now. We will keep an eye on it. This seems to have been an issue of bad gas, but it took a carburetor removal and cleaning to get through it.
