We are in Jacksonville, FL staying at the Mayport Naval
Station campground for a few days. I have doctor appointments at the Mayo
Clinic here and since they start so very early in the morning we thought we
would bring the coach up and stay here rather than get a hotel. We have heard a
lot of nice things about the campground, and I must say that it is very nice. I
will not be here much during the day to try the amenities, but Barbara will.
We have a front row seat to watch the shipping traffic enter
the Saint Johns River. There are several naval ships and a Coast Guard cutter
based right next to us, and we have watched numerous container ships and car
carriers pass by.
